Pioneer Special School
(Our Pilot Program)
Flawless is working to support the Children, Faculty, Parents, and Environment of Pioneer Special Schools. From yoga and Nia classes for the students and staff to music, nutrition, gardening, renovations of the space, the list goes on.....
We believe that the success of a school is dependent upon the positive flow of the relationship between the parents, children, teachers and the environment. Our goal is to create programs that nurture all members of the Pioneer community.

FACULTY
• Staff development workshops and education
• Health and Wellness Program
• Teacher enrichment
• Collaborative Problem Solving Fund - provides ongoing consultation with Dr. Stuart Ablon in working with children who struggle with explosive behavior and impulse control.

FACULTY LOUNGE
• Creating a beautiful space for the staff that is a sanctuary for them during their workday. A place for them to rejuvenate as they return to their direct work with the children.

CHILDREN
• Gardening program
• Music program
The Flawless Foundation is deeply committed to the arts in education. The Pioneer School does not have a budget for music. We have provided music workshops, instruments and an art program for the students at Pioneer.

PARENTS
•Flawless Care for Parents
At Flawless, we are deeply committed to the health and wellbeing of parents who are caregivers to children with special needs. We have created programs that offer respite, coaching, fitness through Nia and Yoga and nutrition. (Thank you to corporate donor, Hero Nutritionals)

ENVIRONMENT
• Renovation of the public spaces to create a less institutional environment, making it more home like and comforting
• Soundproofing the building to cut down on the stimulation and noise for the children who struggle with sensory input from the world.
• Creating a Recycled Materials Resource Center

GIRLS EMPOWERMENT GROUP
One of our most exciting projects right now is our work with at risk adolescent girls who face many serious challenges some of which include, living in foster care, eating disorders, suicidality, self mutiliation, drug and alcohol abuse.................
Janine and Emily have launched a coaching program to work on self esteem/empowerment issues. We get together to chat, teach the girls how to celebrate themselves and their progress and work on various fun projects together. One of the core aspects of the program is teaching them about gratitude and being of service. Some of our past activities have included, Yoga and Nia classes, art activities, volunteer activities with younger children and a clothing swap. The girls are looking forward to a series of health and wellness events where we will have spa days, visits to local yoga studios and Nia headquarters for fitness classes.

Pioneer School Program
Our focus is on programs that provide education and health care for our local community and beyond.
We believe in the resilience of children, their innate desire for health, infinite hope and precious spirits. This is our driving mission.
PROVIDING SUPPORT
GRATITUDE FROM STACEY
"When we were under extreme stress due to a budget freeze, we were about to rally the staff and host a spaghetti dinner to raise funds.
As Janine received the news about our funding crisis, she took out her checkbook and wrote us a check which took some of the immediate pressure off.
We are so touched by Janine and Dave's commitment to our work and our children. They are our fairy godparents."
