Pioneer Special School Pilot Program
Flawless has been so inspired by the incredible staff and administration that work at the Pioneer Special School that we have chosen them to be our pilot site.

Flawless is working to support the children, faculty, parents and improve the environment of Pioneer Special School, from initiating yoga and Nia classes for the students and staff, to introducing music, nutrition and gardening programs to the curriculum.
We believe that the success of a school is dependent upon the positive flow of the relationship between the parents, children, teachers and the environment. Our goal is to create programs that nurture all members of the Pioneer community.
Faculty Care and Education
- Staff development workshops and education
- Health and wellness program
- Teacher enrichment
- Collaborative Problem Solving Fund (provides ongoing consultation with Dr. Stuart Ablon in working with children who struggle with explosive behavior and impulse control)
- Faculty lounge: Creating a beautiful space for the staff that is a sanctuary for them during their workday — a place for them to rejuvenate as they return to their direct work with the children
Arts in Education
- Gardening program
- Music program
The Flawless Foundation is deeply committed to the arts in education. Since Pioneer does not have a budget for music, we have provided music workshops, instruments and an art program for the students.
Flawless Care for Parents
At Flawless, we are deeply committed to the health and wellbeing of parents who are caregivers to children with special needs. We have created programs that offer respite, coaching and fitness through Nia and Yoga and nutrition. (Thank you to corporate donor Hero Nutritionals!)
Environment
- Renovation of the public spaces to create a less institutional environment, making it more homelike and comforting
- Soundproofing the building to cut down on noise stimulation and for the children who struggle with sensory input from the everyday world
- Creating a Recycled Materials Resource Center
